I have been three times nation team champion, in 2017, 2018 and 2020. For now, I was never individual champion, but I intend to change that.

My parents are really inspirational for me. They’ve come from small towns in Serbia and managed to make a life they wanted. They worked hard, had a few set backs, survived disasters in our country, but always succeeded to get back on their feet. They’ve thought me to never give up. I have to mention my grandfather as well. He was a geography and sport teacher, and he used to say that only people who do sports can be good people. One day while he was teaching at his school, a man came in and started shooting randomly at the children. My grandfather stood up to him and managed to disarm him. He thought me that anything is possible, and he is also a great inspiration to me.

I began fencing when I was 9 years old, and started competing soon after. I started off with foil then switched to epee. I had an knee injury in my last year as a cadet, so I made a few years break from fencing in order to recover fully. I came back two years after the injury, and carried on competing two years after that.

I am a pretty stubborn person. I don’t like quitting. I have imagined one goal, and I will do my best to achieve it. That is my inspiration

As I mentioned I was three times national team champion, besides that I have a lot of local medals, each of them are meaningful in their on way, but not as much as I want them to be. If I had to single out one medal, it would be the silver medal I won in ECC in Zrenjanin.

A quote From the champion to the next generation would be: “Never give up.”
